Albany-  Adelaide (Wasserman) Glazier of Albany, NY died peacefully on June 21, 2023 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany. She was the daughter of the late Samuel & Minnie (Goldenberg) Wasserman of Schenectady.

Addie was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and SUNY Cortland and loved being an elementary school teacher in the South Colonie School District until she retired. She was a member of Congregation Ohav Sholom, NY Retired Teachers Assoc., United Order of True Sisters (50 yrs.) and a Life Member of Haddassah. Throughout the years, she enjoyed cooking, baking & entertaining for family & friends, playing Mah Jongg & reading. More recently, her interests transitioned to Bingo, making beautiful arts & crafts and making sure her candy jar was always filled for all her visitors. She loved running into past students who remembered & appreciated her words of encouragement & guidance and had a huge heart which was fueled by her compassion for others.

Addie is survived by Daughters Rona Wilker (Michael) of Slingerlands and Wendy Barton (Joe), Granddaughter, Melissa Wilker and three extremely special nephews, Alan Friedman (Beth), Bill Friedman (Debbie) both of CT and Jason (Elizabeth) of FL, and their special families. Addie was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Marvin Glazier, brother William Wasserman and twin sister, Rose Friedman with whom she had a very special bond, and Brother in law Richard Friedman.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to everyone at the Massry residence and Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for the care shown to her and her family.

 Funeral services and mourning will be held privately.
