Anthony Joseph Colello, known as Tony to all, passed away suddenly from a brief illness on August 20, 2025, at the age of 71.

Anthony was born in Albany New York, 5 minutes after his identical twin brother, Vincent Michael, on October 7, 1953, to parents Vincent L. Colello & Helen P. Colello (Witamborski). Tony graduated from Shaker High School in 1972. He then went on to study Studio Arts at Russell Sage of Albany. Tony had a flair for all things fashion, which led him on his path to become a hairdresser. Tony graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Schenectady NY, and soon began his career at The Cuttery, a well-known hair salon in Albany. He eventually moved on to work at The Hair Company in Albany, where he established himself, created a work family, & made a lasting impression on each & every one of his clients! In the late 70’s, Tony met the love of his life, John Poggoli & built a beautiful life together for 43 years. In 1995, Tony & John moved to West Palm Beach Florida & continued their careers in both the hair & makeup industry. Tony then took his talents & worked at Saks Fifth Avenue. And finally, his most famous role as a Sales Associate at Jimmy Choo. During his time there, John passed away in 2014.

Tony is survived by his 2 brothers, Brian & Greg Colello, sister-in-law, Kim S. Colello, his most beloved, and one & only niece, Penni J. Colello (Rick Cossart) great niece Vanessa Michele Cossart, great nephew & Godson Richard Anthony Cossart, & great great niece, E’Lani May McNeal. He is also survived by Vikki Ogborne & family, and 3 nephews.

Anthony is pre-deceased by his father & mother, & twin brother, Vinnie.

Anthony’s charm will also be remembered by the many friends he made throughout his lifetime. His 1st friend he met in Florida, bestie Denise McGowan, who stayed by his side till the very end. Tony also leaves behind special friend, David Brodie.
