ANTHONY GEORGE GERO, 84, passed away on December 12 at his home. He was the husband of Gale, with whom he shared nearly 39 wonderful years.
Born in London, England on May 31, 1936, he was the son of Stephen and Ilona Gero.
He attended New York University and The Wharton School and was employed at RBC Wealth Management as Managing Director/Financial Advisor. He was a member of NYMEX (CME) for 54 years, serving on the board since 1976. He also served on the COMEX Governors Committee, was the President of IPMI, chairman of the CFBTA, a board member of Futures and Options For Kids, and a 2019 FIA Futures Hall of Fame honoree. He spoke five languages, enjoyed photography, chess, ham radio and travel.
He is survived by his wife Gale, children Danielle Gero and Neil Canavan, and Mark and Dena Feinsand. He is also survived by grandchildren Ryan, Zack and Cassandra, and his sister, Eva Shaff.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to NYC Police Foundation Inc, to be used for the NYPD Auxiliary Police, of which he was a member for 38 years.
