Audrey Moskowitz

Niskayuna – Audrey Moskowitz, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at Ellis Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Chicago, IL she is the daughter of the late Morris and Ruth (Levine) Kaplan.

Audrey was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and met her husband, Larry, while volunteering for the USO when Larry was enlisted in the Army. They met in January and were married in June of that same year, a marriage that lasted for almost 63 years until Larry’s passing in 2017.

Audrey enjoyed wintering in Florida with Larry, cooking, and playing Mahjong. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Audrey is survived by her children, Helen Moskowitz, Lewis (Michele Fisher) Moskowitz and Susan (Lloyd) Hale; her brother, James (Allin) Kaplan; and her grandchildren, Jason Moskowitz, Eric Moskowitz, Grace Hale, Joe Hale and Alise Hale.

A special thank you goes to Bonnie Martin who provided loving care to our father and continued to provide loving care to our mother. We would also like to thank Dr. Michael Dirusso and the staff at Schenectady Nephrology, The Glen Eddy family, and the nurses at Ellis Hospital on the A300 wing.

Funeral services for Audrey will be held on Friday August 4th at 11:00 am at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Ave. in Schenectady, and will be officiated by Rabbi Matt Cutler. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Shiva will be held on Sunday.
