Carl Alexander Myers was born September 24, 1940 to Carl Oscar Myers and Rose Alexander Myers. Carl passed away August 17, 2022 after struggling for a short time with age related health challenges.
Carl worked for the State of NY for forty one years in the taxation and revenue department. Carl had very few sick days in those forty one years. Carl cared greatly for his job and his coworkers.
And he loved the food trucks that came to the campus once a week.
Even though Carl was born profoundly deaf, he communicated quite well with his family and friends. 
Carl was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth Emeth, loving the synagogue’s building, the kind staff and all who worshipped there.
Carl was a wealth of knowledge. From who is buried where and quite the historian. His knowledge of Albany, Judiasm, Jewish families and businesses from the early forties was incredible. And correct.
Carl loved food. He so enjoyed his involvement, setting tables and sharing meals at the Jewish Community Center Senior dinners until Covid came.
Carl loved the day trips he took for seniors.
Carl travelled to Alaska, Israel and Eastern Europe. All very memorable trips for him.
Carl loved talking on the phone. 
Carl loved and truly missed a good Joe’s roast beef sandwich.
Carl was loved by his community.
Carl was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Rose Myers, sister Carol Sherman and niece Wendy Glaze
.
Carl is survived by his niece Lynn Sherman Miller and her husband Dick Miller. Carl is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sometimes it takes a village and the village was there for him.
Services at the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 12 noon.  All are welcome.
