Ft. Myers – Carol Diane Cohen Brand, 82, passed away on March 15, 2025 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, FL. She had previously resided in Marblehead and Salem, MA.

Carol graduated with her Bachelors and Masters degrees from The University at Albany. She would go on to teach business courses for many years at Suffolk County Community College on Long Island. Carol loved being a mother, taking care of people, enjoyed playing Mah Jongg with friends, attended book clubs and other Jewish activities.

Carol is survived by her husband of 59 years, Harvey Brand; her son, Alex (Jessica) Brand; her daughter, Alicia Brand; granddaughters, Madalyn and Isabelle; and her brother, Saul Cohen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, best friends of 50 years Fern and Gary Klein and other close friends of 40 years, Table #8.

Carol was predeceased by her mother, Yvette; her fathers, Morris Cohen and William Dreisenstock; and her sisters, Eileen and Joyce.

Although we are grateful that she’s no longer suffering, we are saddened she is no longer with us as we so enjoyed our years with her and will cherish them forever. Contributions in her memory can be made to Hadassah.org or TempleSinaiweb.org
