Albany – Charlotte P. Hansen, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 28, 2024 at Albany Medical Center. Born in New York, NY she is the daughter of the late Max and Ilse (Gartner) Kaufherr.

Charlotte was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Charlotte loved to spend time in the kitchen, cooking meals for one and all. The thing that brought Charlotte, the most joy in life was being surrounded by her loving family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Robert (Lisa) Hansen, Kristina (Bill) Engel and Karen (Tarquin) Croteau; her sister, Marsha (Freddy) Zupance; and her beloved grandchildren, Paul Engel, Tarquin Croteau Jr., Thomas Engel, Jarod Croteau, Joshua Engel, Sydney Hansen, Scott Hansen and Alexandria Hansen.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be held graveside on Friday May 31st at 10:30 am at The Congregation Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 2045 Watt St. in Schenectady.
