David H. Shapiro, 69, of Albany passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30th. He was born on May 17, 1954 in Albany, NY, the oldest of three children of Betty and the late Norman Shapiro. David was a 1973 graduate of Carson Long Military Academy.

David worked as a tractor-trailer driver for McKesson and was a bus driver for CDTA and South Colonie during his working career.

 David was predeceased by his son, Ryan, in 1991, and his father, Norman, in 2021. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon; his son, Timothy; his mother, Betty; his sister, Robin; his brother, Michael; and his grandson, Alexander.

 Memorial Contributions can be made in David’s name to The Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer at Albany Medical Center

 Funeral services for David will be held graveside at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd. in Colonie, on Friday December 8th at 12:00 pm.
