SCHENECTADY, NEW YORK
Dorothy Nonkin passed away peacefully on November 18, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospice shortly before her 102nd birthday. She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend. She will be remembered as a kind and caring person and her friends and family were of utmost importance to her.
Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Schenectady. She graduated from Draper High School. As a child she helped in her parent’s grocery store. After high school she was employed by Breslaw’s Furniture Company. After raising her family she worked for the Schenectady city school system for many years.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Leo of 62 years and numerous family members and friends.
She is survived by her daughters Joyce Nonkin and Debra Nead (Richard) and relatives in many areas.
Services will be private.
