Dr. Michael C. Paster

Altamont - Dr. Michael C. Paster, 63 of Altamont, New York died suddenly on August 3, 2023, at the Albany Medical Center after suffering a stroke.

Michael was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 16, 1960. He was a graduate of Albany High School, Junior College of Albany, SUNY Plattsburgh and the Chiropractic College in California. Michael was a practicing Chiropractor in Guilderland for more than 30 years. He was on the Albany High School basketball team who won the Section 2 basketball title in 1978. He was an avid golfer as well as an avid skier. Most importantly, Michael had a great love for his family.

Michael is survived by his father, Alan Paster and his wife Lois Bienstock of Medfield, Massachusetts, and his mother, Diane Garfield Paster of Hobe Sound, Florida.  Loving brother of Steven J. Paster and his wife Teresa of Albany, NY, Suzanne Moran and her partner, Tony Berardi and his son, Anthony of West Bloomfield, Michigan as well as Andrew Burnes of Wilton, New Hampshire and Barbara Landry and her husband, Timothy Shea of Amherst, New Hampshire, Uncle of Isabel Moran, Jimmy (Andrea), Jessica and Joe Paster. Michael also leaves his most beloved partner, Meg Nigro and her children, Aisling Maglio, Kyle Roche and Madeline Roche.

Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 12 noon.  Friends are respectfully invited to visit with Michael’s family commencing at 11:00am on Sunday prior to the service. Interment will follow services at the Temple Israel Cemetery, 1620 Western Avenue in Guilderland, NY.

Michaels family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff in the Intensive Care Unit at the Albany Medical Center for the care shown to him as well as the kindnesses and compassion extended to our family.
