Dr. Samuel Schwartz

Westchester - Dr. Samuel Schwartz, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 27, 2025. Born in Nassau, NY on December 31, 1933 he is the son of the late Morris and Ida Schwartz.

Sam Schwartz lived life to the fullest. He was a proud Navy veteran, distinguished professor of the health sciences and both a yoga and tai chi master.

A father, grandfather, teacher and mentor who will be remembered by many people who's lives he impacted for the better.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Judith Schwartz; his grandson, Gabriel Hoshino; and Maia Hoshino.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 28th at 1:00 pm at The Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave. in Albany. Burial will follow at Hebrew Farmer's Cemetery in Guilderland.
