Sanford Krimmer, DDS of Albany, NY passed away on January 3, 2022 at the age of 98, surrounded by his family and loved ones.  He was born on December 14, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to Rachel and Charles Krimmer.  He was predeceased by his brother Dr. Lee Krimmer and his brother-in-law Norman Radin. 
                Sanford graduated from James Madison High School and went to New York University for a year before transferring to Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  He entered the Navy after his second year at Moravian and became a dental technician.  After WWII, he returned to Moravian and finished his degree.  In 1952, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania dental school.  Sanford went on to have a successful practice for over 50 years in Albany, New York.  He was a lifelong member of Temple Israel, Shaker Ridge Country Club, Third District Dental Society, as well as a member of Knights of Pythias and B’nai Brith Lodge.
                Sanford met Gloria, the love of his life at a 50th anniversary party for his Aunt and Uncle Irene and Harry Spector.  They were married for 66 years and had a wonderful life together.  They loved to travel all over the world with their many close friends.  He enjoyed going to Sarasota in the winter and playing golf as well as going out on the family boat “Sanford and Son” on Lake George.  Sandy loved musicals and casinos, watching old movies and sports on TV.  He was happiest when surrounded by his family.
                Sanford is survived by his wife Gloria, his children Sharon (Elliot)Mitchel, Cindy (Richard) Taylor, Marc Krimmer; his five grandchildren:  Andrew (Tammy) Mitchel, Rebecca (Angel) Mitchel, Joshua (Melissa) Taylor, Randy (Tiffany) Taylor and Nechama Krimmer.  He was also blessed with four great grandchildren Joshua Jr., Levi, Lilliana, and Gabriella.  In addition he is also survived by his closest cousin and friend Mildred Spector Kayne.
                The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Sanford’s many caregivers throughout the years, especially Tamara Arnold and Donna Stewart for their compassionate care, love and support in his final days.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sanford’s memory to a charity of your choice. 
  Services will be private for family and close friends on Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue in Albany, NY.   Masks are required.  The service will also be live streamed.   If viewing livestream the following link will be available 5 minutes prior to the service
