Palm Beach Gardens, FL - Elaine (Rosenthal) Krouner 95, was born November 30, 1930, in Albany, NY and passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, only one day prior to the passing of her beloved husband Robert Krouner. 

Elaine graduated from Albany High School where she met Robert during her Junior year. Married for 74 years, they built a life defined by love and mutual respect. Elaine managed the back-office functions of Robert’s engineering practice for many years. She will be remembered for her distinctive personality and her efforts to keep the extended family connected.

Elaine was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel Rosenthal of Albany and was pre-deceased by her brother Donald Rosenthal, and sisters Betty Cohen and Sheryl Gittelson. Elaine is survived by sister Selma Schultz, brother Alvin Rosenthal and sister-in-law Charlotte Krouner. Her love and support extended to her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Elaine is also survived by her children Lynn Applebaum (Marc) and Todd Krouner (Shari); her grandchildren Lauren Applebaum (Dee), Craig Applebaum (Lauren), Jessica Krouner Kadem (Omri), Samantha Krouner Manikundakam (Arun); and great granddaughters Harriet Applebaum and Mia Austin Manikundakam.

Elaine was a long-time resident of Albany and Palm Beach Gardens and was a member of Ballen Isles and Colonie Country Clubs, Congregation Beth Emeth, and Hadassah.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Rd. in Albany. Burial will follow at Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville, NY.
