Elinor Naigles Obituary

Elinor Naigles, age 88, died peacefully in her home in Albany, NY on Thursday, April 1, 2021.

Born March 9, 1933 in New York City, NY, to Louis and Selma Meyer, she attended Bronx High School of Science and graduated from New York University in 1955.

On October 24, 1954, she married J. Richard “Dick” Naigles and moved to Kingston, NY and later to Albany and Loudonville. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany. Elinor was involved in various volunteer work including the National MS Society and Make a Wish Foundation.

Survivors include children David (Geula) Naigles of Marlborough, MA, Bruce (Karina) Naigles of Moss, Norway, and Eric Naigles of Malta, NY, grandchildren Nancy (Nathan) Ciara of Princeton, MA, Ayelet (Richard) Norwood of Malta, NY, Alisha and Adam Naigles of Moss, Norway, and Paris Naigles of New York City, NY, great-grandchildren Jackson, Effie, and Chloe Ciara and Cole Norwood. Elinor was preceded in death by her husband, Dick.

Services, along with the burial, will be held at 1pm on Sunday, April 4 at Beth Emeth Cemetery, Loudonville, NY. Relatives and friends are welcome after the service at 118 Shaker Run, Albany, NY 12205.

Memorial contributions are welcome at the National MS Society or the Make A Wish Foundation.
