Ella Margolis Obituary

Albany – Ella Margolis, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday February 19, 2023, at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home. Born in Russia, she is the daughter of the late Iosif and Golga Margolis.

Ella came to The United States in 1996 with her husband Semen Lirtsman and resided in Schenectady. Semen and Ella were married for 51 years and were in love with each other until the last day. Ella was a very caring and loving person. She enjoyed playing the piano, loved to cook for friends and family and entertain guests. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Ella is survived by her daughter; Lyudmila Lirtsman; her grandsons, Igor Berlinskiy and Efim Lirtsman; granddaughter, Ekaterina Berlinskaya; and great-grandchildren, Lev Berlinskiy, Alex Berlinskiy, Igal Berlinskiy and Michael Berlinskiy.

Ella will be missed by all her family and friends; she left an indelible impression in the hearts of everyone who knew her. May she rest in peace, free of pain.

Funeral services will be held graveside on Tuesday February 21st at 2:00 pm at Agudat Achim Cemetery, Schermerhorn  St. in Rotterdam, New York
