Obituary
Eve Kaufman, caring and beloved wife, mother, grandmother to 6, sister and friend died on March 25, 2022 in Silver Spring, Maryland at age 80 years old.
She was born to Anna and Chaim Bruskin on October 7, 1941 in West Hartford, Connecticut. As a student at Russell Sage College in Troy, New York she met her late husband, Howard Kaufman and married in June 1962. She graduated Russell Sage a year later.
Howard and Eve settled in Clifton Park, New York where they raised their family and were founding members of Congregation Beth Shalom. Eve is survived by her three children and their spouses: David Kaufman and his wife Nandie Anita Singh-Kaufman of Exeter California, Jeffrey Kaufman and his husband Steven Colon of Gilbert Arizona and Deborah Kaufman Levy and her husband Robert Levy of Silver Spring. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Samuel, Michael, Joshua, Donavyn, Samantha and Jordan. Eve also leaves behind her brother Samuel Bruskin of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
After her husband’s passing in 1999, Eve stayed in Clifton Park and lived at Coburg Village for several years. She moved down to Silver Spring in 2017 where she moved into assisted living.
Eve enjoyed travel with her family, being active at Congregation Beth Shalom and visiting her children and grandchildren.
A graveside service and burial will be held at Beth Shalom Cemetery in Rotterdam, New York on Tuesday March 29 at 11am.
