Freda (Rothchild) Levine

Freda Levine, died on Saturday May 29, 2021 and lived gracefully into her 100th year, the last twelve residing at the Avila Retirement Community. She was born in Boston on December 24, 1920, daughter of the late Samuel and Esther Rothchild. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Levine.
Freda was a warm and loving mother to her three children, Jan Rooney, Michael Levine, and Joe Levine; adored grandmother of Kayla Rooney, Sean Rooney, Rhea O’Connor (Levine), and Jennifer Levine; great grandmother of Sasha Rooney, Ella and Ethan O’Connor. A true matriarch, she was the glue that held her family together.
With no formal education, Freda obtained her doctorate degree in human kindness. Those around her were  the recipients of her intuition, wisdom, and sense of humor.  She was a truly unique woman and an inspiration to both family and friends. Freda was a lover of opera, theater, and world travel.  She was a student of yoga most her life and a Reiki Practitioner. The Levine family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dawn Phillip and Mary Rissling for their loving care throughout the years.
