Troy – Geraldine “Gerry” Krall, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday July 5, 2024 at The Van Rensselaer Manor. Raised in Saratoga, she is the daughter of the late Maurice and Eva (Goldstein) Isenberg.

Gerry graduated from Saratoga High School and would go on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Boston University. She owned and operated Krall’s Ltd., a traditional men’s and women’s clothing store on Second St. in Troy with her husband Lenny for more than 40 years. She was a member of The Country Club of Troy for over 40 years, where she enjoyed playing tennis and golf with her friends. Gerry was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She lived for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Gerry was an amazing cook and baker, there is nothing she loved more than being in the kitchen preparing for holidays and being surrounded by her family.

Gerry is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leonard “Lenny” Krall; her daughter, Debra (Carmelo) LoPorto; her sister, Marilyn (The late Stuart) Olson; her beloved grandchildren; Lara (Jeff) Kline, Joshua Scheeren, Antoinette LoPorto, Salvatore LoPorto and Carmelo LoPorto; and her nephews, Barry Olson and Jeffrey (Margo) Olson. Gerry was predeceased by her daughter, Jennifer Krall Scheeren.

Those wishing to remember Gerry in a special way can make memorial contributions in her name to, The Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org or to a charity of your choice.  

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the nurses and staff of the B-1 Wing of Van Rensselaer Manor as well as The Community Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion for Gerry throughout her stay.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Beth El Cemetery, 51 Belle Ave. in Troy, on Monday July 8th at 11:00 am.
