Harriet Arlene Weintraub (Henke bat David v’Chana) passed away on March 28, 2026 at the age of 96 in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
Born in Albany, New York, to David and Anita G. Mark (Aronson), Harriet grew up with her identical twin sister Geri. Together, they delighted in playing twin pranks at home and at school—memories that remained dear throughout her life. Harriet graduated from Bryant College, where she met her husband and love of her life, Stanley. Harriet built a career in business roles, including retail sales, assisting Stanley with income tax preparation, and retiring with the New York State Pension Board.
As the years went on, Harriet found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: family holiday dinners, days at the beach, vacations at Chazy Lake and in Aruba, and lively games of Mah Jongg and Bridge. Her greatest joy in life was always her family, and she cherished being surrounded by those she loved most.
Harriet is survived by her beloved sisters, Geri Schlenker and Nadine R. Aronson; her children, Alan and his wife Ellen, Michael and his wife Diane, and Todd and his wife Kelly and former wife Susan; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Stanley, whom she adored for more than 66 years.
A funeral service will be held at Temple Beth Emeth in Albany on Sunday, April 5th at 11AM, with burial to follow at Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Beth Emeth.
May her memory forever be for a blessing.
