Ida Kay, age 94 of Albany, NY died peacefully on Friday October 28, 2022 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany. Born and raised in Albany, where she remained all of her life. She was a graduate of Mildred Elley School and was an active member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany for more than 60 years. Ida was married to David Kay until his passing in 2004.

Survivors include her children, Barry Kay and his wife Marla of Ridgefield, Connecticut and Ron Kay of Albany, NY. Grandmother of Adam Kay of New York City, Sara Kay and her husband Alan of Bethel, CT and Daliah Kay of Albany. Ida also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Ida was predeceased by her siblings, Molly Jasper, Sylvia Lipfeld, Lillian Zelman and Abraham Zilber.

Services will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday November 1st at the Beth Cemetery, 58 Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY Those wishing to remember Ida in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road Albany, NY 12208 or the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Avenue Extension Albany, NY 12203. Ida’s family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff on the Blue Unit at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for the care shown to Ida and her family during her stay. The period of mourning will be private.
