Parkland, FL – Idester Miller, 99, died peacefully at Coral Springs Medical Center on Sunday, July 24, 2022. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of the late Jacob and Elsie (Stulmaker) Dembo.
Idester was employed as a secretary for The Warner Bros. Film Corporation. She married her husband, the late Herman Miller on October 18, 1947. She was a member of Temple Beth El in Troy for many years, was a member of YEA Sorority, and was very active with Hadassah in Troy. During World War II she volunteered as Nurse’s Aid for the Red Cross, and at USO Centers. In her later years after relocating to Florida, she volunteered at the Kings Point Library in Delray Beach.
Idester is survived by her children Mark H. Miller and Sharon Spinetti; grandchildren Kip Lee Miller, Jake Adam Miller, and Mario J. Spinetti; her brother Lawrence M. Dembo (Judith), and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Herman Miller, she was predeceased by her son Jay Seth Miller, grandson Tyge Justice Miller, and her sister, Phyllis Sachs.

A graveside service for Idester will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at 12:00 pm at Beth El Cemetery, 100 Belle Ave. in Troy. Those wishing to remember Idester in a special way may make a memorial donation to Temple Beth El 411 Hoosick Street, Troy, New York 12180 or a charity of your choice.
