Albany – Ita Lam, 109, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 10, 2024 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing and Rehabilitation just 4 days shy of her 110th birthday. Ita was a Holocaust survivor and immigrated to the United States more than 40 years ago.

Ita is survived by her sons, Gary (Zina) Lam, Samuel (Ludmila) Lam and Michael (Sofia) Lam; her grandchildren, Timothy, Steven, Juliana, Ilana and Jonathan; and her great-grandchildren, Mark, Alan, Maks, Victoria, Zachary, Ariella, Eva, Gabriel, Noah, Benjamin and Brooke.

Funeral services for Ita will be held on Friday December 13th at 10:00 am at Congregation Agudat Achim, 2117 Union St. in Schenectady. Burial will follow at The Agudat Achim Cemetery in Rotterdam.
