Jeffrey Kramer Obituary

CLIFTON PARK — Jeffrey Kramer passed away with his sons by his side on October 22, 2021, at the age of 85. Born February 20, 1936 in Brooklyn, N.Y  to Jack and Rose Kramer, he
spent many joyful and informative years in Hurleyville, N.Y.  working at the family hotel and music camp.  Jeff graduated from the Pennsylvania School of Optometry in 1963. Prior to optometry school, Jeff served in the Army for two years and attended Marietta College in Ohio.  On August 30, 1964, he married Rochelle, to whom he has been happily married  for the past 57 years.
.
Together, they raised their family in Clifton Park, NY, where Jeff built a successful optometric practice, was a member of the Kiwanis Club, learned to coach soccer and got interested in fishing.  He and Rochelle enjoyed their empty nest years living near Saratoga Lake prior to retiring to Delray Beach, FL.  While in FL, he opened a not-for-profit eye clinic to serve the community of Delray, volunteered his time, often giving canoe tours, at the Loxahatchee national wildlife refuge, and increased his fishing obsession.  They returned to Clifton Park to spend the past few years closer to family, residing and making new friends at Coburg Village.

Survivors include his wife Rochelle, sons David (Robin) of Newton, MA and Ken (Leslie) of Saratoga Springs, NY, and grandchildren, Joshua and Elliot.  Additionally, he is survived by his brothers, Laurence (Janet) of Queens, NY and Boca Raton, FL, and Mark (Pearl) of Morris Plains, N.J and their children, Abby and Randy (Michael).

Services will be held at 12 noon on  Wednesday, October 27, at the Gerald B.H.Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery , located at 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 1287.  A reception will follow the service at the 550 Waterfront Restaurant and Bar, 550 Union Avenue in Saratoga Springs, NY . All are welcome
