Jeffrey Viplick Obituary

Wynantskill – Jeffrey R. Viplick, 72, passed away peacefully at Shaker Place on Saturday August 2, 2025 Born in Troy, he is the son of the late Philip and Esther (Dembroski) Viplick.

Jeff worked many years in the hospitality industry and with his latest job he followed in his father’s footsteps by selling furniture. The thing he loved most in life was his family. Jeff also loved to travel, especially cruises. You just had to say “Let’s go!” and he was booking the vacation.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Viplick; his sister-in-law, Karen Obzud; his nieces, Cari (Paul) Majors and Erin (Zach) Brown; his nephews, Frank (Taylor Elting) Obzud and Chad (Nicole) Obzud; and great nieces and nephews; Eli Majors, Lilah Majors, Paxton Brown, Maddox Brown and Mackenzie Obzud. He is also survived by many special cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Jeff was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Leda (Joseph) Dobrzanski; and his nephew, Scott Dobrzanski.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to all who helped to care for Jeff over his many years of illness. He thought the world of all of you.

Funeral services for Jeff will be held on Tuesday August 5th at 11:00 am at Congregation Beth El, 411 Hoosick St. Troy, NY 12180 followed by burial at The Congregation Beth El Cemetery in Troy. Shiva will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn (Library), 235 Hoosick St. Troy, NY 12180, Tuesday August 5th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm with a Minyan service at 5:45 pm
