Judy Dubay Obituary

Voorheesville – Judy (Salomone) Dubay, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 18, 2026 with her loving family by her side. Born in Washington D.C., she is the daughter of the late Frank and Ann Salomone.

Judy was a graduate of Milne High School and dedicated many years of service working for the New York State Comptroller's Office before retiring.

A lifelong bridge player, she found great joy and friendship through the game. It was also through bridge that she met her beloved husband, Bill, beginning a wonderful chapter of their lives together. Her passion and skill for the game were evident as she achieved the distinguished title of Platinum Life Master, the second-highest rank in bridge.

She was a loving and thoughtful woman who enjoyed creating handmade knitted blankets for her family and friends, each one a cherished expression of her love and care. She also found comfort and enjoyment in watching classic television shows, especially Matlock, I Love Lucy, and The Golden Girls.

Her warmth, dedication, and the many special memories she created with those she loved will be treasured forever.

Judy is survived by her husband, William Dubay; her children, Amy (Dan) McGinn, Lisa (David) Pidgeon and Andrew Dubay; and her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey McGinn, Riley McGinn, Teagan McGinn, Danny McGinn, Nicholas Pidgeon and Gianna Pidgeon.

Those wishing to remember Judy in a special way can make memorial contributions in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Funeral services for Judy will be held on Wednesday, June 24th at 11:30 am at The Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave. in Albany. Burial will follow at The Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville. The family will receive guests prior to the service from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
