Laura L. Woolis Obituary

Albany – Laura L. Woolis, 69, passed away on Monday December 5, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Bronx, NY she is the daughter of the late Bernard and Evelyn (Galkin) Woolis.

Laura was a graduate of Ramapo High School Class of 1970 and would go on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Empire State in 1975 and her Masters in Social Work from N.Y.U. in 1989. She worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was the Director of Next Steps Program. She loved helping people and people loved her.

Laura loved cooking, traveling, tea parties and family holiday celebrations. She will be remembered fondly for her magnetic personality and the world’s warmest smile!

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Allan Rosenberg; her daughter, Leah (Abraham) Sanders; her beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Sanders; her sisters, Bobbi Warren, Karen Woolis and Diana Woolis. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held for Laura on Wednesday December 7th at 10:00 am at Beth Emeth Cemetery, 58 Turner Lane in Loudonville.
