New York – Lawrence S. Toppall, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday June 14, 2024 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Born in Albany, he is the son of the late Louis and Pearl (Burack) Toppall.

Larry graduated from the University of Miami, with Bachelor and Masters degrees in Music Theory and Composition.  He performed at various family and corporate events in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area for several years, including contracting with a major cruise line to provide musicians for its cruise ships.  When this contract ended, Larry began a new career in New York and Ft. Lauderdale as a producer in theatre productions for many years.

Larry is survived by his brother, Harold (Marcia) Toppall of Pikesville, MD; his nephew Jeffrey (Robyn) Toppall of Burke, VA; his niece Elaine (the late Howard) Salter of Olney, MD; his great-nephews, Ian Toppall and Matthew Salter; and his great-niece, Samantha Toppall.

Funeral services for Larry will be held graveside at The Hebrew Tailors Cemetery, 1620 Western Ave. in Guilderland on Tuesday, 2 p.m., June 18, 2024.
