Lois (Herschkowitz) Edwards

Lois Edwards , 93 of Heritage Village in Guilderland, New York died on Sunday April 10, 2022 at her residence. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Lois was an educator in the New York City School System and taught elementary education for more than 30 years.  She had over 500 former students who were her facebook friends. She was a member of Congregation Ohav Shalom and was an avid reader and enjoyed music. Lois loved her many friends and adored her family.

Lois was married to Barnett ( Barney) Edwards until his passing in 2011.

She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Adam Edwards and his wife Rebecca of Altamont, New York and Eve Albert and her husband, Warren of Roslyn Heights, New York. Cherished grandmother of Samantha Albert and her fiancee, Eben. 

Services will be held on Wednesday, April  13, 2022 at the Mt. Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York.  Those wishing to remember Lois in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Ohav Shalom 113 New Krumkill Road Albany, NY 12208 or Community Hospice , 445 New Karner Road, Albany, New York 12205.

Lois was an eternal optimist and often recited :" It is not how old you are.....  it is how you are old"
