Marcia Eisenberg Obituary

Marcia Eisenberg, 91, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her daughter’s care on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Born in Weehawken, New Jersey, the only child of the late George and Sylvia (Brothers) Hepinstall.

Marcia married Paul Eisenberg in New York and the pair relocated to Ste. Genevieve. They raised three children together: Joel, Diana (Susie), and Stanley. After Paul’s untimely death, with the help of her mother, Marcia worked as a nurse to provide for her young family. She was a nurse for more than thirty years at the Farmington State Hospital. Marcia took great pride in her work, garden, and embroidery, but enjoyed nothing more than being “Bubbie.”

Marcia is survived by her daughter Diana Hurst, daughter-in-law Gail Eisenberg, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Paul Eisenberg and wife Marina Belyayev Eisenberg (children Josephine, Ronit, and Joel); Elisha Eisenberg-Agami and husband Ilan Agami (child Daniel); Michael Eisenberg and wife Danielle Flatt-Eisenberg; Samuel Jacob Hurst and wife Jeannette Leroux; Sasha Raab and husband Edward Raab (child Edith); Saul Eisenberg (child Noah); and David Eisenberg. She was predeceased in death by her sons Joel and Stanley Eisenberg.

Graveside funeral services will be held for Marcia on Wednesday, September 21 at the Hebrew Farmers Cemetery, in Guilderland, New York at 1:00 P.M. Those wishing to remember Marcia may plant a tree in her honor at: https://shop.arborday.org/commemorative-trees-in-memory
