Colonie – Marian R. Glass age 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 15, 2022 at Shaker Place. Born in Amsterdam, New York she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Kaye) Glass.

She was a graduate of Albany High School and attended Russell Sage College. Marian had a passion for dancing starting as a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio beginning in 1953 and continued teaching privately throughout NYS.  She proudly continued dancing until her late 80.s.  Marian was a motivational speaker for educational and social organizations.  She resided in various locations including, Manhattan, Greece and Arizona. 

She is survived by her niece, Janice Friedman of Phoenix, Arizona and was predeceased by a sister, Florence Auerbach.

Per her  request, funeral services will be private. Those wishing to remember Marian in a special way may make a memorial contribution in her name to The American Lung Association.
