Marlaine Schneider Paone, 78, died peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. A resident of Piermont, New York, Marlaine was born in Albany on October 6, 1945, the daughter of the late Sol and Muriel Schneider. Her brother, Warren, predeceased her. Marlaine was a graduate of Albany High School and Boston University.
Marlaine began her career as an elementary school teacher. Known for reinventing herself, she became an antique dealer and accomplished fine porcelain and art restorer, as well as a cabinet maker and home color consultant.
Marlaine and her husband, Bob Paone, shared a passion for exploration and travel that took them around the world. Their devotion to each other was palpable to everyone who knew them.
Marlaine is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bob, her niece and nephew, Stephanie Landess and Matthew Schneider, and an extended family of beloved great nieces, cousins and life-long friends. She will be missed by all who shared this life with her.
A funeral service and interment will be held Friday, February 9, 2024, 12:30 p.m. at the Cedar Park Cemetery in Washington, New Jersey
