Guilderland – Maxine Silver, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday September 6, 2023 with her loving daughters by her side. Born in Albany she is the daughter of the late Alexander and Freida (Weisenberg) Halpin.

Maxine was a teacher at Hackett Middle School in Albany for 30 years until her retirement. Spending time with her beloved family is what Maxine enjoyed most of all.

Maxine is survived by her daughters, Andrea and Julie. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Abby, Ethan, Alex, Ari and Sam. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Walter Silver in 2022.

Funeral services for Maxine will be held privately for the family.
