Voorheesville - Melvin (Mel) E. Wilcove, 89 died peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospice on May 14, 2024. Born in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Nathan Wilcove and Rose Cohen Wilcove.

Mel was the owner of Executive Cleaning Services for over 30 years and retired in 2019.

Mel is survived by his children, Amy (Curt) Scoons of Glenmont, David Wilcove of Crested Butte, Colorado, and Neil (Wendy Dell) Wilcove of Atlanta, Georgia, his grandchildren, Ben and Clare Wilcove, his step-grandchildren, Sydney and Olivia Dell, his sister, Deanna (Rudy) Langer, long-time companion, Laura Cohen and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mel was predeceased by his siblings, Myles Wilcove, Selene Barbara (Jerry) Nadler, Edward (Madaline) Wilcove, and Elaine Wilcove.

Services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at Temple Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road in Albany. Graveside service to follow at Beth Emeth Cemetery, 58 Turner Lane, Albany.
