Albany – Mildred Kayne, 98, died at her home in Palm Beach, FL on Wednesday August 17, 2022. Born in Albany she is the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Wolf) Spector. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Harvey Kayne.

Mildred was a graduate of Milne High School and would go on to attend Russell Sage College. She worked in her family’s clothing store Spector’s, “Albany’s finest clothing store” for many years. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Shaker Ridge, Colonie and Glens Falls Country Club’s through the years. She enjoyed spending her summer in Lake George and Saratoga and was a member of The Lake George Club.

Mildred was a special person with a lot of energy and always knew how to make everyone smile. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had a strong belief in God. She was a life-long member of Hadassah.

Mildred is survived by her son, Robert Kayne; daughter, Kathy (Dr. Bryan) Bilfield; grandson, Peter Bilfield; and great-grandchildren, Haden and Avery.

A graveside service will be held for Mildred on Tuesday August 23rd at 12:30 pm at Temple Israel Cemetery, 1620 Western Ave. in Guilderland.
