Albany - On January 4, 2024, Mollie Larner passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Born in Albany, New York to Abraham Kartzman and Sarah (Weinberg) Kartzman. Mollie attended the Albany schools and worked in her families Kartzman Superette in North Albany.
Mollie married Abraham (Abe) Larner in 1940 and were married for 59 years, before Abe’s passing. Mollie was active in her community and raised two children, Barry (Sara Lee) Larner and Linda (Howard) Carr. Mollie is also survived by her four grandchildren, Carolyn (Bruce) Ginsburg, Eric Larner, Aaron (Lauren) Carr and Lauren (Brett) Baxt, as well as her six great grandchildren, Evan and Emily Ginsburg, Hannah Larner, Jordyn and Noah Baxt and Maddison Carr.
Mollie truly loved life and being around people fueled her. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and bowling. She was impeccably dressed no matter the day and always ready for a party. Even at 100 years old, she was the last one on the dance floor.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eddy Village Green for their compassionate care and support of Mollie.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, 1:30pm at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Rd in Albany.
Mourning observance will immediately follow internment at the home of Lauren and Brett Baxt.
Remembrances in lieu of flowers to The Eddy Foundation, Congregation Beth Emeth or The Community Hospice.
