Loudonville - Neil Levine, 67 died unexpectedly at his home on Monday January 5, 2026. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Charles and Gloria Levine.
Neil was a graduate of Milne High School class of 1976. He and his wife Jaime later took over the family business, Colonial Cleaners, which was proudly serving the community for almost 90 years. Neil devoted his life to the business and was known for the special relationships he built with his customers over the years. He was happy to be able to deliver his customers clothing to Albany, Loudonville, Menands, Delmar and Slingerlands. He also was very consistent with his contract with the Albany Co. Sheriffs Dept and he was dedicated to making sure they had their uniforms delivered on time each week. He valued his customers over the counter and enjoyed the conversation and relationships he had with each and everyone of them. People throughout the city recognized him as he had a warm and friendly personality and they also recognized his red van. He had a deep passion for it and was known to keep his special chocolates and beverages inside it.
In earlier years, Neil and his wife enjoyed family vacations to the Bahamas and Wildwood, New Jersey. He loved collecting wood sculptures and collecting license plates from all of the world. He loved putting them on display.
One of Neil's favorite relaxations was driving, and even though he drove a lot during the day, he took pleasure in going for car rides.
Neil is survived by his beloved and dedicated wife and business partner Jaime Levine, his daughter Melanie (Daniel) Okrent, his son Brandon (Casie) Levine, his grandchildren Dylan and Alexis and his sister, Leslie (Mary) Pillion (Levine). He was very proud that both of his children were married.
Those wishing to remember Neil in a special way can make memorial contributions in his name to a charity of their choice.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 11 at 11:00 am at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave, Albany. Burial will follow at the Hebrew Tailor's Cemetery in Guilderland.
