Paul Roth, 94 of Niskayuna, New York died on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany. Paul was born in Albany and was a lifelong Capital District resident. He was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was the son of the late Milton and Rose Yarris Roth.. He was a former member of Albany City Lodge # 540 Knights of Pythias.
Paul is survived by his wife, Betty Tozzi, a son, Alan Roth and his wife Karen of Davie, Florida and 2 daughters, Sheryl Schoonmaker ( Ross McClure) and Elisa Goldstein ( late Brian) both of Colonie. He also leaves 2 step children, Joe and MIchael Tozzi. Grandfather of Jeffrey Schoonmaker ( Alyssa), Cory Schoonmaker ( Beth), Casey Schoonmaker ( Kristina), Joshua Goldstein Hallie) , Jessica Wells, ( Jami) , Andrew, Jake and Danielle Roth. Paul also leaves 6 great grandchildren, Jackson Schoonmaker, Cali Schoonmaker, Savannah Schoonmaker, Willow Schoonmaker , Olivia Wells and Logan Wells.
Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 10:00am. Interment will follow in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY at 12:30 pm. All are welcome. Those wishing to remember Paul in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue Albany, NY 12208, Attention: Hospice Care The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Elisa Goldstein, 36 Lois Court in Colonie on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3-8pm.
