Renee (Rosenzweig) Pearlman

Albany - Renee Pearlman passed away peacefully on the morning of February 27, 2023 at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Archie Pearlman. She is survived by her daughters Karen Fein(Steven) and Barbara Williams. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Jessica Fein, Rachael Palmer (Stephen), Kimberly Aiya Williams and Tom Fjord (Heather) and 6 great grandchildren; Anya Shapiro, Claudia Shapiro, Adelaide Palmer, Simon Palmer and Emilia Fjord.

Renee was born in Brooklyn, attended public schools graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School and was the first person in her family to graduate college. She graduated cum laude from City College and eventually taught at Prospect Heights High School. She was the high school treasurer for many years. Renee and Archie left Brooklyn and brought up their children in Valley Stream, New York. Upon retiring from their teaching careers, they spent their winters in Deerfield Beach Florida and their summers in Lakehurst, New Jersey.

She was an avid bridge and Mah Jongg player, loved the beach and sailing with her husband and traveling. Most of all, she loved being with her Archie, the love of her life, and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She moved to Albany in 2017 and became an active participant in the community at the Massry Residence.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3 at 9:00 am at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany NY. Interment will be follow that afternoon at 2:00 pm in the Beth David Cemetery, Elmont NY.

Shivah will be observed on Saturday evening from 7PM –9PM and continue until Monday evening.
