Boca Raton - Roberta Bloch, Matriarch, Friend, and Realtor extraordinaire, born January 18, 1931 passed away on December 13, 2024.  She worked hard, had a wonderful marriage raised a family and helped her community. Her parents, Fay Bushler and Sidney Pierson had both died before she was 12, and she and her younger sister Arlene (Cookie to all) were raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Jane and Murray Davis. A proud graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, she enjoyed a modeling career in her late teens. She met the absolute love of her life, Bertram Bloch, and they married on March 10, 1951. The worst day of her life was when he passed on April 23, 2023, after 72 years of marriage.

After marrying young and having Karen and Michael, while Bert was in law school at night Arlene came to live with them, and enjoyed their loving home until she married Martin Tash. Moving to Long Beach, Roberta discovered a true career in real estate sales, and when a transfer took them to Niskayuna they truly blossomed.  She joined Priesman Realty and became a star, winning many local awards. She also served the community, using her modeling background to produce many Hadassah and ORT fashion shows. She chaired the membership committee for Congregation Gates of Heaven for years, and she and Bert were part of a Chavurah that continued for over a decade.

They were loving grandparents, and took the six grandsons (which was also her license plate)  on many family cruises. She is survived by her sister Arlene Tash, daughter Karen Hausler and her husband Gerald, and son Michael and his wife Denice.  Her six grandsons made her so proud.  Andrew, David and Theodore(Jessica) Hausler and Logan (Ashley) Taylor and Devon (Lauren) Bloch.  She was thrilled to have three great grandchildren- Aviva, Link and Chloe.

Funeral services will be at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Ave. at 11:30 on Monday December 16th, with a Shiva at the home of Karen & Gerald Hausler in Niskayuna on Monday evening. Florida Shiva will be on Tuesday evening.
