Rose Vincitore Ciampino, 93 died at home (Niskayuna) surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 29, 2021 after a short illness. Rose was born on April 1, 1928 in Schenectady, NY to John and Rose Vinciquerra Vincitore. She married Anthony Ciampino on September 12, 1948 and resided in Rotterdam, NY as a Homemaker. For many years Anthony and Rose were Florida snowbirds until Anthony’s death on January 29, 2004; at which time she decided to be a full-time resident in Clearwater, Florida. She had many wonderful friends and neighbors whom she loved especially Mary, Terry, Zach & Zena. Rose was a member of Light of Christ Catholic Church and at one time was a member of their Choir. Rose was especially compassionate about her bowling. She belonged to two leagues up until her death. Survivors include her daughter Diane (Benny) Cannavo of Schenectady, Daniel (Jeanne) Ciampino of Niskayuna, Grandchildren: Michael LaTorre of Vero Beach, FL, Lisa (Bruce) Bowman of Schenectady, Daniel (Danielle) Ciampino, Jr. of Rotterdam and Gina (Phil) Sidoti of Niskayuna. Great-grandchildren: Skylar, Bryana, Gionna & Vivian Bowman of Schenectady, Vincenzo & Donato Ciampino of Rotterdam and Philip and Rosa Sidoti of Niskayuna. Rose is also survived by her brother-in-law Dan McAuliffe and sister-in-law Eleanor Vincitore as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rose was preceded in death by her parents John & Rose Vincitore, her husband Anthony and her siblings, Archie, Mary, Nancy and Mike.

Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304. Burial will be at St. Cyril Cemetery, 611 Duanesburg Rd., Rotterdam, NY 12306. Relatives and friends are welcome at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302 from 4-7 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
