Sandra Segal Obituary

Sandra M. (Silton) Segal, age 87 years, of Newton on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Attorney Hyman B. Segal. Loving Mother of Robert M. Segal, David J. Segal and Donna B. Segal. Cherished daughter of the late Morris and Bella (Marram) Silton. Dear sister of the late Commander Sumner R. Silton, USNR . Sandra also leaves Rabbi Paul B. Silton and wife Faye of Albany, NY. Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Boston University’s School of Education, Sandra was a public school teacher of 30 plus years. Sandra began her teaching career in the Town of Westwood and spent the majority of her years teaching elementary school in the Boston Public Schools. In addition to teaching, Sandra worked at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center in Newton as a guest advocate where she was known for her warm, kind and welcoming manner and her wonderful sense of humor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30am on Sunday, November 28th at Levine Chapels 470 Harvard Street Brookline MA. Masks and vaccinations are required for attendance.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra’s name can be made to a charity of your choice.
