Selma Newman, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home on February 18, 2021 at the age of 97.
Born in Geneva, Florida, Selma was a friend to all. No one was a stranger in her home, as she always had a smile on her face and an ear to listen. Despite her love of the Florida sunshine, Selma moved to upstate NY to be close to her family, whom she loved dearly and who loved her dearly in return. February 22, 2021 4:33 PMSelma was a lovely woman whom I had the pleasure of meeting at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home while my Mom, Pearl, was also there. I often visited my Mom at lunch time and Selma shared a table in the dining room with Pearl. It was always a more pleasant experience due to Selma's presence. Selma always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
