Teri L. Scheinzeit

Teri Scheinzeit, who grew up in Schenectady, passed away on April 7, 2023 in New York City at age 69.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stuart Dworeck. She will be remembered by her brother, Ronald Scheinzeit (Arline) of Atlanta, Georgia and her sister Cynthia Hecht (Geoffrey) of Hamden Connecticut, goddaughter.

Dana Frankoff of San Francisco, California, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and clients.

Teri graduated from Niskayuna High School, Niskayuna, New York and Skidmore College, I Saratoga, New York.

Teri started and ran two successful graphic design studios in NYC before retiring from graphics. She became an award winning business coach with a private practice which included individual and group coaching and mentoring. She also ran popular business workshops and was known as “The Savvy Business Coach”. Teri wrote the multi award winning book “Success Without Stress”. She was also a singer, songwriter, and performer who recorded three collections of songs and performed at many venues. Teri, who survived childhood cancer at age six, gave many lectures, interviews, and workshops about long term cancer survivorship. She recently wrote, produced and performed an audio production about her experiences growing up as a long term cancer survivor, entitled “Choosing Happy, A Musical Memoir”.

Teri was a beloved friend to many people, often described as a bright light in the world, very funny, a good confident and the best companion a husband could ever wish for.

Services will be held on Sunday, April 16th at 1pm, graveside at Agudat Achim Cemetery, ,Schermerhorn Street, Rotterdam.
