Vivian is also survived by her three children; Lynn, Sharon and Debra, and her four grandchildren; Elise, Molly, Noah and Daniel.
A Hunter college graduate and a respected sixth-grade teacher at PS 27 in the South Bronx for 30 years, she made lifelong friendships with her fellow teachers. A discriminating palate, she loved to cook, appreciated the arts, and enjoyed painting and drawing.
Strong, willful, and feisty she won many tennis matches, threw a perfect spiral football and was able to bench press her body weight at age 40.
Well known for her generosity, she was a loyal friend and a good listener. She understood and spoke Yiddish and was proud of her heritage. Vivian was grateful for all that she had but most important to her were the people in her life.
