Duanesburg – William F. Gorman Jr.,70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 26, 2025 at St. Peter’s Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born in Albany, he is the son of the late William F. Gorman Sr. and Evelyn (Horn) Gorman.
Bill was a graduate of Albany High School Class of 1973 and served as a Capital Police Officer from 1983-1997 and then served as a New York State Trooper from 1997 – 2010 when he retired. He enjoyed archery, fishing, boating, NASCAR and vacationing but what brought him the greatest joy in life was spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Nadine Fitzpatrick Gorman; his son, William N. (Shannon) Gorman; and his grandchildren, Valo and Freya.
Those wishing to remember Bill in a special way can make memorial contributions in his name to, The Mohawk Hudson Humane Society or The American Cancer Society.
Funeral services for Bill will be held on Sunday March 2nd at 12:00 pm at The Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Ave. in Albany. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 11:00 – 12:00. Burial will follow at The Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville.
