. Zhanna Krel died on October 22.2022 in Amsterdam, New York. Born in the Ukraine on November 11, 1931, to her parents Reveka and Aaron Epstein, Zhanna and her beloved husband Avram, z’l, came to the United States in 1991, to join their daughter and her family in Albany.
An independent, self-sufficient and very powerful woman, She was very educated, smart and wise. Zhanna loved to read, travel and enjoyed family gatherings. She was very intellectual, enjoyed museums and theatres.
Zhanna enjoyed a perfect marriage to Avram for 59 years, and a wonderful, fulfilled life in both countries.
Zhanna is survived by her devoted daughter, Yelena Krel Bricklin; loving son-in-law, Simon Bricklin; cherished granddaughter, Alina Bricklin- Goldstein and her husband, Jared Goldstein; and her adored great grandson Ari. Zhanna is also survived by her nieces and nephews and their families in the United States, Israel, Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
A funeral will be held graveside at the Ohav Shalom Cemetery on Church Road in Gulderland, NY on October 23,2022 at 3.00 p.m.. The family will be observing the period of mourning privately at the Bricklin residence following the service of interment.. The family suggests that contributions in Zhanna‘s memory be made to the Yad Yonatan fund at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 Krumkill Road, Albany, NY 12208.
